JOB SHADOW!!!!

So today I went for a job shadow at the Holiday Inn Express and Suites! so It wasa totally awesome! I shadowed the manager named Sacha! She was really fun and I learned a super duper bunch of stuff! I did everything! like a staff/board meeting, chillin with the maids, swiping cards, checking around the pool, filing the log, discussing universities with the accountant and answering the phone! Oh! and I learned some stuff...ish. mostly I just did some hands on work and had a great time!

Okay so this guy walks in and I was thinking "Oh he must be a guest"... he has this cute little puppy with him and just walks right on to the back of the desk and into the office area. I was like "Oh okay... he must be a worker." So I ask the accountant, can't remember her name, what he works as.. to which she replies "Oh he owns the place. and 2 other hotels somewhere out east and a couple of franchises in Calgary. oh and he's opening a new restaurant in Calgary. He and his brother are quite a pair." Mind. Blown. This guy can't be more than 30 years old! He was Asian! WOOT WOOT! MY KIN! and well anyway he was really super funny and his dog was super energetic. like not just the happy dog that hops around. Like I mean charges at you and takes a flying leap onto you. DANG. that dog actually kinda stunk but her cuteness made up for it!

So after I finished job shadowing Lindsay and Sabrina picked me up! ooh fun! and we went to their house. My mom is there cooking away. So it's like 3:30 and kim and sab left again to get sabrina some car insurance... eh following me still? so I have a canadian diabetes appointment at 4 and they just left.with my mom's vehicle. GREAAAAATTTT.... AHHH! So We make alot of calls to them that they dont answer! GRR.. so me and mom were late for my appointment. BUT. we blamed it on my job shadow... so we didn't look like eejits.

So after my appointment we shopping at superstore for a long time! I love it! I love love love superstore! We got a bunch of stuff! Then we drove home. I'm super tired because I was up at FREAKING SIX IN THE MORNING! EWWWWE! I had to catch a ride in to work with my dad. Eugh so I'm wiped but i still need to pack for my Edmonton Trip!!!! What a life...

Man, anytime before 10 is NOT my forte...

I hate dreams. They are stupid, pointless and get on my nerves, even the good ones. For what seems like a couple moments you get to experience some emotion in a big way. Like I've dreamed I got married and then woken up. Or that I'm being chased by killers, then woken up. My parents have died, then woken up. Personally the type of dream I have usually affects my morning mood. Usually lingers around 1st class and then the beginning of 2nd. So I'm my normal self around 10:30ish. Have you ever wondered how dreams work? Check out the movie Inception... it explains it somewhat. Nightmares give me the creeps so bad. I remember staring at my door one time for like 5 minutes because I swore someone would burst through it any moment and kill me. Fun fun... so anyway just a random thought that popped into my head on the way home from lethy. I was just thinking about dreams and all that jazz that comes along with it...

so this morning I had a really big brain meltdown and couldn't remember if there was school today. I woke up thinking "YES THERES NO SCHOOL TODAY!" then had the wretched afterthought "There is school." I kept debating mentally school? or no school? So I got ready and then left the house thinking "If I get to the school and no one is there but teachers, I'm gonna feel like the biggest retard in the world." Okay, so I leave my house and it was like a ghost street. There were no kids walking by or no cars driving by. I walked for another 1/2 a block before I did the smart thing and called a friend. She told me there was school and that I was 15 minutes early. That's why my street was deserted. I didn't even think to look at the clock! Silly me :)

So I went to Breaking Dawn today! It was really good but there were some parts where I covered my eyes. I leaned over to my sister at cheesy parts and said "I feel so embarrassed for them!" She laughed at me. So there is one part in it where Edward says marriage and all I can think of is that on guy on the Princess Bride movie "Ma-wige". I laughed internally. So my sister Kim was choking on pop for like 3 minutes because it went down the wrong pipe. Usually a good loud cough gets whatever your dying on out. but since we are in a movie theater she silently gags and chokes for a while. Whatever NBD! I recommend the show, but not to like younger viewers who wouldn't understand part of the dialogue. :)

OOH AND I HAVE TO PUT THIS IN CAPSLOCK BECAUSE IT'S IMPORTANT. I SAW A SHOOTING STAR ON THE WAY HOME FROM LETHBRIDGE!

SPIRIT WEEK!!!!!

So twice a year my school has this one week where everyone dresses up and shows all their spirit. hence the "spirit" in spirit week... so we have one right before volleyball zones and then the other right before basketball zones... reasonable. So this week there was Pajama day for monday! psh awesome!!!

Tuesday was backwards day... no picture. it was really lame though because what are you supposed to do? put your hoodie backwards? dress like the opposite sex? don't think so!

Thursday was teacher day. i didn't dress up but this guy, justin hatch, pulled off a really good mr rollingson!

Friday was my favorite day! BLUE&GOLD DAY!

The pep rally was awesome and super fun! We got candy chucked at us... a couple lucky few got splattered with pudding and their was a spirit contest! oh and the cheerleaders did a great job! GO MAGRATH! Atta be for spirit week! :)

BAKING FEVER!!!!

Help! help! I've been hit! I repeat I've been hit! This baking fever has been going around and I've been hit like a train! WHA-BOOM! So banana muffins are my specialty :) yummy. but I decided I want to make cheesecake! mmm hmm. yummy delicious cherry cheesecake! but this is my first time making it and I'm really nervous that I'm going to get it wrong! EURGH!! I hate messing up recipes. it's such a waste! I really hope I did this right because the edges are getting brown and stuff but the middle is still really gushy and not setting... pictures to post later.

So my sisters came for the long weekend! AWESOME! but then they left today because something about a dress and organ playing... whatever... no cheesecake for them :) ya i miss em though. like crazy! We took a bunch of pictures of us being... us. and they looked great! oh and if you don't own Just Dance3 or you've never played it. I strongly recommend it to everyone! Funnest game ever!

Yup that's right... we're just that cool :)

onesies, onesies, onesies...and other junk :)

can you guess what im blogging about today? yup yup... ONESIES! oh joy. so my friends decided we were going to have a onesie exchange this year for christmas! FUN FUN!!! so I'm looking online trying to find a cute onesie that is decently priced... yea NAWT working out whatsoever. the cute ones are like 45 to 50 DOLLARS! man I love my friends but i stop at $40... I found some at Kmart that were cute AND on sale. can you guess what happened? I forgot that Kmark is AMERICAN! jeeezz. face.palm. eeeeuuuurrrrggghhhh! if you can't tell I am slighty frustrated! the only thing keeping me from totally going crazy and beating on my laptop is my banana muffins. baking keeps me sane and all gung ho and everything! did I mention about the cheesecake and the no pie filling thing! infuriating but not really...

Ooh so you know how I was going to add pictures of me on halloween? yes? no? well I realized when I found my camera that I didn't even take any pictures with it! It was my friends camera! psh! anyhoo... so I lost my phone... depressing right? It's either in my friend's car, or playing hide and go seek in my house(it's really good at that game). I swear I lose my phone every day... even if it's just for a minute, or two, or three, possibly more... So I'm going to need to duct tape it or something to me when I'm in edmonton for choral!

OMYGOSH! I forgot to mention! I'm going to EDMONTON with the choir! I love trips! I was at first really happy to go but now I'm kinda sad because my two friends that were gonna party it up with me, hallie and courtney, aren't going anymore! PARTY POOPERS(they have good reasons though)! but then again. our basketball guy Mr. Strate scheduled our Opening Tournament on the days that we are supposed to be in Edmonton. I am still going. but all my cheerleader friends have to stay and cheer or something... oh well... I found another awesome girl to room with and we will party it up!!! I'm so not excited for the bus ride though.. 6 hours, on a bus... bond with some choir members, play some pranks, sing for all I care. but me? I will be sleeping so please do not disturb.. I need my sleep so I can Party Hardy later :)

I Have No Life

Volleyball.Is.Over. I've realized over the past day that I have no life outside of volleyball. I came home from school, looked at my gym bag, and whimpered like a baby... I miss my team even though I saw all of them today, and my two awesome coaches who are legit and awesome! Going from grade 9 volleyball to High school was intense! In gr. 9 it was all gung ho and everything. we had practice 2 times a week.. not bad. now on the other hand High school was everyday except on the weekends. Wednesdays we had games and the practices are way more hardcore. I liked being busy all the time and active. Now I have nothing to do and i sit on my couch like a po-ta-toe! eurgh...

I've had this weird baking streak going on. I am going to make banana muffins tonight, :) yum, and maybe some cherry cheesecake... but we have no cherry pie filling! DANG GINA! I want to make cookies or something but they always turn out hard! bummer eh? any suggestions for soft cookies? Eeeep... Well I'll have plenty of time now to figure out the soft cookie mystery...

Ohh and Castle's on tonight! My day just got considerably better... :)

Confession of the day: I am in love with Mandarin Oranges! I can eat them allllllll DAY!

Man I looked FINE on halloween! Curled my hair up really cute, wore a little black dress, and put on that sexy red cape! (Pictures will be added when I find my camera) Hehe ;) So even though I looked super awesome and good as Little Red, there were like 10 other Little Reds out there. I looked the best, hands down, but still it just irked me how many I saw! I don't want to be mean but some of them were really pathetic. emphasis on PATHETIC! One little girl wore like a red superhero cape with jeans and a blue tee shirt! Hellooooo??? if you wanna wear blue under a red cape then be superman or something! Ugh my random vent sesh for now.

So my friend told me I'm creating a blog epidemic... greeaaaattt. I'll just put this on my sister because she got me into this crazy, latenight, blogging fever! HECK YA! I got two of my friends a blog! check em out sometime my friend Katie's is http://katie-lady101.blogspot.com/ and I can't remember the other one! YAY BLOGGING FOR EVERYONE!

So usually on Halloween we get around 150-160 kids per year. this year we had 56! we have a little counter clicky thing so we don't lose track. but seriously! 56?! might as well skipped passing out candy and just went to bed! psh. stinking kids. Maybe it's cuz we live in the "ghetto" part of town. Just kidding. in a town of 2,500 people... who are like 90% Mormon/LDS... you don't have a ghetto section. We just call it that because it's almost as far west as you can go, and there's barely any streetlights. I used to get so scared walking home from nightgames or parties because my wonderful... wonderful older sisters use to tell me creepy stories about the old grandma that lives on the corner. She's very nice FYI and she used to give me treats when I said hi! Not like "you vant some candy leetle child?" (creepily) but like "Hi honey you want a cookie?" (totally not creepy). Hmm the good ole days. Then her dog, Jake, died and she didn't give me cookies anymore... BUMMER!!! annnyyyway. I live in the ghetto of Magrath, I'm not scared of walking home anymore, and I no longer get cookies from the "grandma" of our street. MLIAN...btw (my life in a nutshell)

Random thought. If everything is wet, is anything really wet? haha saw it on a TV show and thought I would like some further explanation.
